My name is Mary Elliott-Smith.  I have been teaching at Nellie Stone Johnson for the past 5 years.  I am currently teaching K-5 ELL with a focus on English reading, writing, and oral language.  This year I am located in room 318. 

I graduated from Winona State University in 1990 and have taught for the past 21 years.  I started my teaching career in rural Alaska and have come full circle to North Minneapolis.  I have been working for Minneapolis Public Schools for the past 18 years.  

I truely enjoy working in Minneapolis and love working with all of my students.
