Yosefa Carriger, Teacher Grade 6 - Science

Welcome!

My name is Yosefa Carriger and I have been teaching at Nellie Stone Johnson Community School since September 2007. I teach Sixth Grade Science and A.V.I.D. I received my degree in Education and General Science from St. Catherine University, and LOVED my college experience.

I believe that each child comes into my classroom with their own gifts and talents, and I very much enjoy getting to learn what that is, what makes each child unique and wonderful. I believe that every chid has the ability to learn and excel, and I am looking forward to being a part your child's educational journey as he/she matures. I will, and do, challenge every child to give me their best, and love to see how successes and accomplishments build and grow, one leading to another. As we partner together during this upcoming year in your child's education, please utilize this web page for information and exemplars of classwork and homework assignments; due dates for: projects, upcoming quizzes, and tests; classroom newsletters, and to provide me with feedback and information about your child.

The best way to reach me is through email:
yosefa.carriger@mpls.k12.mn.us OR please leave a message in the section on the right labeled "Questions??? Comments???".

Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have, and I will do my best to respond within 24 hours.

I am looking forward to another wonderful year with you and your child, at NSJ, in this exciting adventure called learning!

Student-Led Conferences, Fall 2011

It would be very helpful if you could take this survey, and provide feedback regarding the conference you and your child just had together.
